Thanks for the detail on the checkering, I assumed it was impressed. And I take your point that it could easily be recut to give it a bit more depth and definition.

Sorry, it's the only barrel I got, they do pop up every now and then on the auction sites. As I pointed out, I think it's a candidate for polychoke removal and choke tube installation, make a great handling upland gun with a shorter lighter barrel.
