I don't know about the fps on the Rio ammo, but I can buy the Remington black "game load" 16's in one ounce #8, at 1,200 fps, for $37.90 for 10 boxes, and that black hull reloads well for me....we just don't see Rio for sale around here. |

I recently bought about 10 boxes of Rio's with 2.5 dr equiv, 1oz, 7.5. The shoot and perform well but I paid $6.00/box. Mainly just bought them to try them out and they perform well on the range. Haven't hunted with them yet. hulls look sound and may be Cheddite's. |

I looked at the site. the price was more at 42.90 per case I think. Then there is the shipping. Better figure on $5+ per box delivered.
Not to take this thread off track, but does anyone know where to buy inexpensive 28 ga ammo at $45 per case or under or cheap reloadable cases? |

Hey 16GG-when you find those 28g. shells, see if they have a 16g. DHE Parker, straight grip, 28" brls, IC/F, 90% case colors with 14&3/4 LOP for $2000 for me. Suspect we're BOTH dreaming! |

revdocdrew,
That 16 gauge DHE, is on a #0 frame isn't it?
Pick one up for me while you're at it. Exact same thing as yours, only make mine with Damascus Barrels and skeet choked. |

16gaugeguy,
I just figured I wouldn't respond to that remark. And we'd let it die.

Dave, that probably won't matter. I'll save you a spot under the table. I'll spend the time dreaming about cheap 28 gauge ammo until the hubbub subsides.

I finally fired off the two boxes of 16 gauge Rio that I had at 5-stand yesterday. Recoil was nice and it seemed like good stuff to me. Now to see how well they hold up to reloading. |
