It has been brought to my attention that guns other than 16ga. have been offered for sale on this forum. It was my intention to limit it to 16ga. because there are far too many of them buried in closets and gunsafes somewhere that need a new home.
I will be on alert in the future and delete guns other than 16ga.

Doug,
With all due respect, I ask you to reconsider. The group that is here is a good one, and I suspect few of us are limited to one gauge, even though we all have the bug for the best one, the 16 gauge. If I were selling, I'd prefer the guys here, at your site, get first crack at anything I might have before I tried somewhere else. Some have become pretty good friends. Ditto, if I were buying, as these folks have similar tastes and ideas to mine.
Charles Hammack recently proved that just because a gun leaves the factory as other than a 16, doesn't mean it can't be converted to one.
You never know, either, if behind that old 16 in the closet is an equally old 20 or 12 that needs some excercise as well. Hate to see some fine deals vetoed or split up because one can sell here, and one can't.
Just some thoughts for you to consider. The great majority of guns for sale here have always been 16, with a sprinkling of other orphans, and I'm sure that will always continue to be. Thanks in advance.

| As long as there's not so many other guns and stuff being posted that it runs the 16 gauge stuff off the page to quickly. I shoot 5 different gauges and am interested in all but it is nice to have a dedicated place where I don't have to try and wade to page after page of SBE's , Nova's and what ever other gun happens to be the flavor of the month to find 16 gauge stuff. |
