Just recv'd my hull trimmers today from Leadtrading post (J&S machining I think)
Works fantastic and the guy there is great to work with. Super guy.
Looks like the old Lyman?? I have ordered 10ga, 12ga and 16ga.
Give the guy a try if you trim hulls even occasionally. Worth the money. |

How does the trimmer perform on paper hulls? Are the cutting wheels sharp and where do you get replacement blades? |

I have the trimmer for the 16ga. Cutting wheel replacement can be purchased at any hardware store. I have cut a couple of dozen Cheddite paper hulls without any issues. So far I've been happy with the trimmer. |

I have not used it yet on the paper hulls. I won't load my paper hulls until prairie chicken opener. Then I have to shoot enough to cut hulls!! (limit is only three) Ok, now jinxed myself into shooting a box up trying to kill a chicken!!
Will let you know what I experience with it on paper when I use it. |

I have one of the new hull trimmers. Nice looking and well made tool, but does not work as well as other methods for plastic hulls. Might be great for paper, but who has any paper hulls these days? |

I just trimmed 50 hulls with it today. Worked great.
Still haven't tried my paper hulls yet. |

I received my Leadtrading Post (J&S Machine) trimmer today. Trimmed a few Cheddite Paper 16ga hulls. Worked slick and efficiently. The trimmed off ends slip right off the mandrel speeding up the process from my BP trimmer.
It is a quality machined tool. I like it pretty well. |
