Friday I went to my dealer for a fix, found 5 box's of Remington game loads. 16ga 1200fps 1 oz 7 1/2 for $5.50 a box. Also found a box of Winchester Ranger ALL NEW PLASTIC/ BRUSH LOADS, 13 shells left. I belive these are from the early 1960's. 2 1/2 dram equiv. 1 oz 8shot. I will hold on to the brush loads as I may never find any of these again. |

I found some 80's vintage Federal Game Loads today for $6.00 a box about a flat and a half. That's not bad here. Plus I have a nice recipe for the hulls using Herco cut down to 2 1/2".
Some of the stores here are rationing ammo (particularly handgun and .223) but you can buy all the 16 you can carry. I guess it pays to be unconventional these days! |

I just bought the last 25 boxes of the RGL 16 ga. shells at Dick's in Shreveport. 14 boxes of #6's and 11 boxes of 7 1/2's $5.68 a box. Had to get 5 boxes of 20 ga. to get the case discount on the odd 5 boxes of 16's. |
