How do I identify that current manufactured WAA20 wads will work in the original style? Is there a diference between the old and nre style wads. There is a difference in new hulls as the base wad reduce the ID at the hull base.
Thanks.

The new style wads will work fine in either hull. The newer wads raise the shot column a bit, and I assume for better load fit using 7/8 oz. and Win. super field powder. However, in changing the WAA20 wad, winchester created a near perfect wad for ¾ oz. loads, using bulkier powders. There may be minor differences in dimensions b/w comp. formed and HS hulls in 20g, but you use the same data. Not true for 28g and .410 HS hulls.
