I just got a Bass Pro\Redheads's Christmas catalog. Only 2 clothing items where listed as USA made. Page after page after page--everything else "imported." I've not been in Cabelas for 5 years (and their store is only 1\2 hour away) but I'd wager their clothing inventory is the same. Makes me wanna puke.

I went to Cabela's about two weeks ago in Richfield Wisconsin and found copious amounts of ammo in all gauges (including 16 gauge) in that store. It was very pricey to be sure but if you wanted case loads, you could get there at that time.

onefunzr2,

Cabela's sells that same garbage, all made elsewhere. Makes my skin crawl to have a " Made in China" label on my back when I am hunting. I don't care if pheasants came from China originally.

I feel better with the WingWorks strap vest and it is even made better, than the crap Cabela's is selling.

Thank goodness you still had a choice of chinese made or not, Mark. I just bought a replacement knock-off alloy wheel for my vette. Proudly cast inside in 1\2" high letters, MADE IN CHINA. My third generation all-american sports car now has 1 wheel made in commy china. Now that's a disgrace! But after copious checking around, I had no other choice. I think I'll take my die grinder to it to give me peace of mind. It won't change where it was made, but at least it won't be glaring up at me everytime I do maintenance.
