I recently purchased a 16 ga Winchester Model 12 that is actually been built from 2 different guns, the receiver is serial number that indicates 1948 yr of mgf. Barrell is approx. 1919. Since the gun would not have collectible value I was wondering approx. cost to chg. the choke from modified to Skeet or IC. Anyone know approx cost to do this? |

Yes-FREE--Cut the petals off a few wads--pattern the gun and see what you think |

Definitely pattern it first to see what it does with your shells as Modified in a lot of M12 barrels can be around .010" or less constriction. One of mine is .009". If you were to buy an IC choke from Briley (and assuming they'd open a choke to the same dimensions as a tube), it'd be .010" in 12ga or 16ga. |

I agree with the pattern your gun first advice but to answer your question there is a fellow named Michale Orlen you can google him. He charges about $35 and does nice work and is usually very fast. |
