I have a quantity of Federal purple 16 gauge hulls that I would like to trade for a quantity of the old style Winchester Compression formed hulls. I am looking for the hulls that are the same as AA hulls, and I am open to high brass, low brass, 6 star, 8 star, etc. What do you have?

A couple ideas for you. The RGL (Remington black) 16ga is similar in many respects. Keep an eye open at gun shows. I still find full boxes of Win CF unfired 16's on occaision. Just bought a full box of 1 1/4oz Super X #6 this past weekend for $6. Actually, I have found so many that way, I have begun to pass them up, but could't resist this fine box of the old MAX load. |

I have a large quantity of Remington Black hulls, Federal Purple hulls, and Fiocchi Blue hulls. I also have a small quantity of the old Winchester AA type hulls. These latter hulls load well and I have excellent recipes for their use. I would like to find more of them, but as they haven't been made for several years, they are hard to find. My few remaining are getting tired.
I know that there must be someone who has a quantity that would be willing to trade or sell. I would also be interested in purchasing factory boxes of these shotshells.

I still have about a thousand once fired Win CF hulls. I think the best way for me to describe ever getting rid of them is to quote Charlton Heston,
"From my cold dead hands"
Of course I might wear them all out if I live long enough. I get 10 reloads then cut them down to 2 1/2" and get 5 more. They last a LLLLOOOONNNNGGGG time. |
