Ahhh. Spring Time in Nebraska. Snow on the ground and high of 32 on first day of spring. Little warmer today maybe, low 40's, but the sun is shining!
I just put three slabs of buffalo ribs and one slab of Pork ribs on the smoker.
Going to empty my hunting vests and boxes and shoot up my left over hunting loads today.
Tomorrow, might even fiddle around and load some shells!! |

This was how I spent the first day of spring.

Snows almost all gone around here. Nice day in the low thirties. Dog worked great. He held his points when needed and followed running birds giving me some good shots. The 11-48 did well also. The preserve is open through April, so I'll probably take in a couple more hunts. |

I would like to get my dog out and do that, but there aint enough grass or cover standing anywhere to hide a bird.
Shot some clay birds instead. Not the same, but best I could do today. Maybe next weekend I can get some birds under the dog before we hang it up for the spring/summer. |

Slightly crazy weather in the Atlanta area. We had seventy and sunny on Saturday and my wife and I were playing tennis; this morning (Monday) we had very slight snow flurries when I let the dogs out. |
