My local gun shop has an interesting Ithaca M-37 for sale. It is a 16 gauge, plain 25 inch barrel with a Raybar front sight. It is marked FULL.
There is no serial number to be seen. Stock has cut checkering and an aftermarket recoil pad. OAL is 14 3/4. They are asking $399.95. Their
phone is 614-939-4867 extension #5 for a sales clerk.
Maybe someone can use this one? |

Those older models have the serial number on the front of the receiver by the barrel on the right side and on the barrel. The serial number on the barrel should have a dash then single digit. This also indicates the choke. it will also be stamped full, mod etc.
As I recall,for full it would be #4. |

With a 25" barrel marked full, it makes you wonder if it's not really a 28" full barrel cut down 2 or 3 inches to cylinder bore... |

I sure didn't see a serial number on the gun. I cannot comment about the originality of the bbl.'s 25 inches. I will try to measure the choke next time at the store--then we'll have a better idea if a cut barrel. |
