Hello
I just bought (stole) a 16 gauge L.C.Smith for $250.00 out of a gun store the man was moving and couldn't take them with him, but the problem is it is 2 1/2 inch. chambers I known I can buy shells for ti but I do a lot of reloading, so I would like to reload some shells for it I have a tool to cut the shells down all I need to know is the components to use. Do I need to buy special wads? I use all BP loading products can some you please help me work up a load? thank you for you Time

Very good on your acquiring the LC !
Since you use Ballistic Products components, you should get the 16 Gauge Manual. There are quite a few 2 1/2" loads published there.
You may also want to consider joining the 16ga Low Pressure group. There are loads there that actually may be more suitable to the LC!
Did you figure out the year of manufacture?
Google for the L C Smith Collectors Society.....They have a date finder..... |
