Which are your favorites? Are there others besides SSM and DBL Gun?

Upland Journal is a pretty good one. Somewhat more "elitist" than this one, but not nearly as much so as SSM or Gunshop, IMHO Cool .

You can checkout the board on parkergun.org but this is still the best because we're all just regular guys talking about our guns, dogs and bird hunting.

The only other 16 board would be 16gaugereloaders-this is money well invested. We are a sincere and dedicated group pursuing the interest of low pressure 16 ga loads. Are you looking for a hunting or shooting forum?

ShotgunWorld is a very large site with a forum about almost anything you can think of except one dedicated to the 16 ga. There are many threads where the 16 ga has been discussed. I have never counted but I think there are at least 50 different forums.

gunshop.com is the best one for really technical stuff about doubles. Shooting Sportsman is good, more focus on the high end stuff. Upland Journal is less technical than gunshop, less high end than SS. You can learn stuff on all of them, and there are 16ga nuts on all of them. Just not the concentration of 16ga nuts you find here!

Broke down and checked out www.ShootingSportsman.com BB. My goodness-two Forums, General Interest and Politics& Punditry, in which 95% of the threads seemed to be fellas bs'ing in a bar and maybe after a few too many. Some of the posts made even 16GG seem REASONABLE. Wink The Guns & Ammo forum had some good stuff though and found Fin, Larry, Ted, Ron, kgb, and some other 16ers over there. Also found some Kansas boys I PM'd to check us out.
Anyway-this forum seems SO much more helpful, practical, good-spirited, and just plain fun. Very Happy
Thanks again 'founding fathers' Exclamation

Yup, what rev said. The dog page tends to get heated as well. Your pointing lab sucks, field trials are for sissy's, why wouldn't my yorky make a good grouse dog , but then they do have some good info
The other I look at is gunshop.com

Best to just ignore the P&P board over there unless you've got a strong constitution (no pun intended) or are a glutton for punishment. If most of the guys who frequent it knew even a fraction of what they think they do...well, you know the rest Rolling Eyes . Not much "discussion";mostly just two choirs preaching to their own.

As I posted earlier in the thread, gunshop.com seems OK and pretty helpful, and I kinda like uplandjournal; pretty friendly bunch there.

One thing I think I've noticed, and I wonder if anyone else feels the same: most boards seem pretty "cliquey"; if you're not one of the "in" posters a lot of members seem to pretty much ignore you. I've posted questions and gotten maybe 2-3 responses, when the regulars will get two pages. Also, I've PM'd a few folks and never even gotten a response. Anybody else?

Fin

(Hey guys-no one respond to Fin's post but don't tell him you read it here)

Oh never mind-just couldn't do that to another Sterly AND Kansas guy! Laughing
That's the other thing nice about this Forum-anybody can ask a question and get some helpful answers rather than one-up-manship and sarcasm (well anybody but 16GG Wink)
