Greg, some awful nice guns, and one fine looking dog, you are a lucky man.

Thanks Dale for the very kind words! They are much appreciated. I am indeed a lucky man. Great wife and kids and I live in a place where I can walk out the door and start hunting within a mile or two of my house. Raina is starting to come into her own now, getting much better every outing, but she still has some big paws to fill.
Thanks again!

Hi all, went out today and was able to shoot 3, but lost one, so only 2 in the bag. Hate losing a bird, rather miss than wound one. Anyway, a nice day, of course any day hunting is winner
I used my 16ga FN
Best,
Greg |

I just got back from my western bird hunting trip that was cut short to respond to VW's request for documentation on the buyback of our "Dieselgate" Passat. I did get to hunt Montana for a few weeks between rain showers, but missed out on the birds on my buddy's Idaho ranch. Next year all the aggravation will be a distant memory and it'll go the way I planned.
My 6 year old GSP, Bode, with my first double on Sharptail. The first day of the trip, he pointed the birds in some low, thick cover and they held tight. Bad mistake. Not typical for the rest of the hunting. 16 ga BSA Classic.
My 2 year old GSP, Rebel, with his first Sharptail of the trip. He can sure cover ground. 16 ga BSA Classic. |

Greg, I like that FN a lot!
The mallards are pouring in over here right now so you know where I'll be these next two mornings! Then I'll get the pup after some WI pheasants as a warm up for my upcoming MN, SD, and IA adventures. |

Hi all, went out today after work for a couple hours with my 15 year old daughter Teresa. I managed two and Teresa got her first pheasant! One proud papa, she got it with one shot over a nice point by Raina. Looks like I have a new hunting partner.
I was using my 16ga Garbi 100
Teresa and her first Rooster, she was using a 20ga Condor O/U
The birds, the daughter and Raina
Best!

That is one happy girl! Way to go Greg, you are raising her right, and it will pay off for her and you and your wife for years to come.

Nice, Greg. What a big smile!
The pheasant on the right with the mottled head colors, is that a juvenile? I am extraordinarily ignorant when it comes to wild pheasant.

Hey Mark, I somehow missed this post. Good to see the old girl dropping birds. |

First woodcock of the season taken over a point by my setter Thicket. I was carrying "The Twig" my little no-name Belgium hammergun.

Nice job Rick. Good looking gun and dog. Thicket is a cool name for a Setter. |

GJW, What a great day for you and your daughter. The smile on her face says it all. Hope you have many more great days afield together. |
