This year was the 27th annual, my how time flies by!!
We had 63 hunters and 15 birds were shot in the air.
I was using my 16ga longbow, yuk yuk.
Attached are a couple of pictures that show proof positive, that you can hit a flying pheasant with a stick bow and a flu-flu arrow.

That's some awesome shooting - bow AND camera.
Wow. |

Seeing is believing . Just put the stick on the spit and turn slowly. |

I have a stick bow but have never tried that. I should check my regs to see if it's legal to do that on a release site when other hunters are around with guns. Otherwise, it sounds like a private ranch kind of deal? |

I am a very avid bow hunter, and have been for 40 years. No way I could do that. |

I just noticed that if you click on the picture, you can enlarge it and see more detail. |

I would love to try that with one of my longbows! I enjoy shooting targets in the air with them but when I drive for hours and then walk a bunch more in a hunt I trust my 16 a bunch more. |

What draw weight on the bow? In event of a miss, how far downrange can a flu-flu be expected to fly? |
