Stopped by local gun shop to pick up some misc items and they had a rack full of 16 ga repeaters, mostly M12s. Staff said a lot of sixteens were coming in lately on consignment, so many that they were even stocking RST 2 1/2 in. ammo. Must be a lot of estate sales clearing out Grandpa's closet. I cherry picked a little 2 1/2" M12 (unaltered), 25 3/4" Nickel Steel Mod choke, plain barrel, mirror bright bore, butter smooth action, weighed in at 6 lbs 2 oz, 225 dollars. It's going to be my field gun this fall, and will pair it up with the 65mm A-5 at the range. Will be shooting a lot of 16 ga. shorts this season! |

As an older guy, I flinched a bit when I read your question!

Absolutely! I will be filling them up with gunpowder and lead pellets, and lighting them off with shotgun primers, and doing it over and over again until they fall apart. It's a blast! |
