Local phez season ended last month after an excellent showing by Chester for finding birds, summoning me to dispatch them ("Hey Boss, I got one for you, you need to get over here right now"), and in the event that my shooting skills rose to the occasion, retrieving them.
In effort to forestall post-season sloth, we embarked this week on a duck hunt at a local wildlife area, a first for Chester.
The ducks were elsewhere that afternoon, and after numerous efforts to call my attention to various nearby songbirds, distant passing geese, and periodic wafting smells, Chester sensed my frustration. At the close of the day, he stopped, looked at me, and dashed off, to proudly bring to me...one of my decoys. |

Sounds as tho that if you could get Chester to buy the coffee then he would be the perfect hunting partner. |

Sounds like you not only have that once in a lifetime dog, but one with a sense of humor too. It made me smile. |

That’s pretty good and it also brought a smile to my face.
Good Hunting,

The people with whom I'm most comfortable all have one thing in common. Dogs |

You are almost there. Soon you can leave the waders at home... |
