I thought I'd post this here as well: just got the third set back from being fitted and finished. Case was a four barrel set for a K 80 I found on e bay and converted to handle my three barrel set. Model 314 Manufrance Ideal

Yes.
LaManu chokes were quite tight from the factory, as a rule with few exceptions. The factory barrels pattern my 3/4 oz reloads so well (I use them for clays, dove, and quail) that I didn't want to mess with them. It is fairly easy to get parts for these guns from France. I have another set of 16 tubes in the white awaiting paperwork. That set will go on my No. 5, making for five sets of 16 tubes for two Ideals.

3/4 oz. loads make sense with that constriction. I imagine they are smaller shot sizes as well. I know I had to open the left barrel of my Fox up slightly before it would pattern 1 1/8 oz. loads of #5 shot like I needed it to. Before that, at 50 yds. the right barrel put it to shame. |

Yes, 3/4 oz of #8 covers most of my shooting needs.

What a great 3-barrel set! Who needs choke tubes? |

James said that Mike was the only man he has hunted with that had a barrel caddy. Gil |

Having that many barrels sets makes it much easier to have the wrong set on the gun. |

Steve and Gil, I haven’t been here in a few days. You are both killing me. Way too funny.
After all the effort Mike has put into this, I hope he’s retaining his sense of humour. That’s supposing he had one to start with. Lol
And Dave, I’m going to convince Mike all three barrels need choke tubes. Then we’ll have to toss the caddy and get a full golf cart to haul the gear around.
(It is a pretty cool set) |

I am certainly known for my stoicism, and James for his lack of interest in women.
Heading to the property tomorrow, and realized I need to bring all three sets. James must be jealous as to how well equipped I am. |
