60-65% condition -*** cyl bore-26 "-missing front bead- my 5 min. evaluation did not reveal any cracks nor any pitting. It looks very well used. Maybe not used up. Started at $895- dropped to$795 quick. It's in a pawn shop and I'm not sure they know what it is. I own 2 sweet 16s- 1961 and 1965. Should I own 3?!? |

IMO you could/should do a lot better than $795. |

I have seen *** as browning's marking for cyl...not -***, therefore the question mark. Re that point and any possibility of someone being creative, I thought it an ok question, guess not.
Perhaps I just missed that exact Browning choke marking.
I did not see a mfg. date for the pawn shop gun...must have missed it...what would it be? the date would influence a purchase decision, for me.
Neither did I see a planned use noted...not that one has to have one to buy a gun, just curious as the cyl choke would help sell the scattergun, to me. That would be a dandy combo for today's cartouches, especially if a true SWEET 16, to me.
No more questions here...make it a nice day. |

I think thats a good price for a gun in excellent condition. It's really your call. |

Sorry about the punctuation dash! It is cyl bore ***. Serial number starts with an X. I am going to use as a shooter. It does not have a polychoke. Rdja may have a better gun. |

Thanks for the advice! The consensus appears to be that I can do better for $7-800. I was mesmerized by cyl bore and stealth and what appears to be original condition, such that it is. Might have paid $700 all in, not $800.
On the Browning forum of Shotgun world, I noticed Rdja had started a thread concerning a sweet 16 he was having an issue with. I wonder if it's the same gun? |

It appears that is the sweet rdja, had up. I do hope you fulfill your quest and find a great deal in doing so. |
